- Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the lasagna noodles and cook until al dente, about 8-10 minutes. Drain and cool on a towel.
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add ground beef and brown for 5-7 minutes. Drain excess fat.
- Stir in marinara sauce, oregano, and basil. Simmer for about 5 minutes until blended.
- In a bowl, mix ricotta cheese, egg, and salt and pepper until creamy.
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Layer the baking dish with meat sauce, noodles, ricotta mixture, and mozzarella cheese. Repeat layers and top with mozzarella and parmesan.
- Cover with foil and bake for 25 minutes. Remove foil and bake for an additional 20-25 minutes until golden.
- Let rest for 10-15 minutes before slicing and serving.
