Method
 

Cooking Process
  1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the lasagna noodles and cook until al dente, about 8-10 minutes. Drain and cool on a towel.
  2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add ground beef and brown for 5-7 minutes. Drain excess fat.
  3. Stir in marinara sauce, oregano, and basil. Simmer for about 5 minutes until blended.
  4. In a bowl, mix ricotta cheese, egg, and salt and pepper until creamy.
  5. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Layer the baking dish with meat sauce, noodles, ricotta mixture, and mozzarella cheese. Repeat layers and top with mozzarella and parmesan.
  6. Cover with foil and bake for 25 minutes. Remove foil and bake for an additional 20-25 minutes until golden.
  7. Let rest for 10-15 minutes before slicing and serving.
