  • 2 pieces Steak (sirloin or ribeye) Choose sirloin for leanness or ribeye for marbling.
  • 2 tablespoons Cajun Seasoning Adjust to preference.
  • 2 tablespoons Olive Oil Can substitute with avocado oil.
  • 2 tablespoons Butter Use plant-based for dairy-free.
  • 2 cloves Garlic Minced; substitute with garlic powder if needed.
For the Pasta
  • 1 cup Heavy Cream Can substitute with milk and thickener.
  • 1 cup Parmesan Cheese Nutritional yeast works for vegan.
  • 8 ounces Fettuccine Pasta Linguine or gluten-free pasta can be used.
  • 1/4 cup Fresh Parsley Chopped for garnish.

Method
 

Cooking Steps
  1. Pat the steak dry and season both sides with Cajun seasoning, salt, and pepper. Let rest at room temperature for 15-20 minutes.
  2. Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat, add olive oil. Sear the steak for 3-4 minutes on each side until caramelized.
  3. Add butter and garlic in the final minute, basting the steak for added flavor.
  4. Remove the steak, let it rest for 5 minutes, then slice against the grain.
  5. In a pot, boil salted water and cook fettuccine until al dente, reserving ½ cup of pasta water.
  6. In the same skillet, melt butter, add garlic, then cream, simmer for 2-3 minutes, and mix in Parmesan.
  7. Add fettuccine to the sauce, tossing to coat. Use reserved pasta water if necessary.
  8. Serve the fettuccine with sliced steak on top, garnished with parsley and Parmesan.
