  1. In a large skillet, heat a tablespoon of oil over medium-high heat. Once the oil shimmers, add the ground beef and brown for about 5–7 minutes until no longer pink.
  2. Drain any excess grease if needed. Lower heat to medium, add the chopped onion, and sauté for 3–4 minutes until translucent.
  3. Stir in minced garlic and cook for 1 minute until fragrant, being careful not to burn it.
  4. Add tomato paste, stirring to combine, and cook for 1–2 minutes to deepen the flavor.
  5. Season with salt, pepper, and paprika, adjusting to taste, then stir well.
  6. Gently mix in chopped cabbage and stir thoroughly with the beef mixture for 2–3 minutes.
  7. Pour in beef broth, cover the cabbage, and bring to a simmer for 3–5 minutes.
  8. Reduce heat and cook for 10–12 minutes, stirring occasionally until cabbage is tender.
  9. Remove from heat, serve warm, garnished with fresh herbs if desired.
