- Preheat your grill to medium-high heat or the oven to 400°F.
- In a mixing bowl, season 1½ lbs of ground beef with salt, pepper, and garlic powder to taste. Mix thoroughly.
- Shape the seasoned beef into four even patties, each about ¾ inch thick.
- Lay out four large sheets of heavy-duty aluminum foil, each large enough to hold a portion.
- Place approximately ½ cup of thinly sliced baby potatoes in the center of each sheet, layer onions and bell peppers, and add a burger patty.
- Drizzle approximately 1 tablespoon of olive oil over each assembled pack of veggies and the burger. Sprinkle additional salt and pepper.
- Fold the foil over the ingredients, sealing each packet tightly.
- Place the sealed foil packets on the preheated grill or in the oven and cook for 25-30 minutes.
- Once cooked, carefully unwrap the foil packets. Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese and add your favorite toppings.
