Pasta Cooking
- Bring a large pot of salted water to a rolling boil over high heat. Add the penne pasta and cook according to package instructions, usually around 10-12 minutes, until al dente. Drain and set aside.
Beef Preparation
- In a large skillet, melt 2 tablespoons of unsalted butter over medium heat. Add the ground beef and break it apart, cooking until browned, about 5-7 minutes.
Seasoning
- Stir in 3 minced garlic cloves, salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning. Sauté everything until the garlic is fragrant and golden, about 1-2 minutes.
Combine
- Fold the drained penne into the skillet with the garlic beef mixture. Add an additional tablespoon of melted butter if desired and stir gently for 2-3 minutes.
Add Cheeses
- Sprinkle 1 cup of shredded cheddar cheese over the penne and stir until melted and gooey. Optionally add grated Parmesan cheese.
Serve
- Spoon the cheesy penne onto plates and garnish with fresh parsley. Serve immediately.
