- Preheat your oven to 200°C (400°F) and line a baking tray with greaseproof paper.
- Unroll the ready-rolled puff pastry on the prepared baking tray and score the pastry into thirds along its length, leaving the center section clear for filling.
- Cut diagonal strips into the outer thirds of the pastry, about 3/4–1 inch wide.
- Remove the small triangle of pastry at the base of the center section to create space for the filling.
- Spoon the lemon curd into the center section and mix the cream cheese with powdered sugar, vanilla extract, and cornflour until smooth, then spread over the lemon curd.
- Fold the diagonal strips of pastry over the filling, alternating sides to create a braided effect.
- Brush the braid with the beaten egg and bake for 17-22 minutes until golden brown.
- Remove from the oven, cool on a wire rack for about 30 minutes, and dust with powdered sugar before serving.
