For the Meatloaf
  • 1 pound Ground Beef Opt for lean beef for a healthier version.
  • 1 cup Seasoned Breadcrumbs Gluten-free breadcrumbs can be used.
  • 1 medium Onion, finely chopped Shallots can be substituted if out of onions.
  • 2 cloves Garlic, minced Fresh garlic is ideal, jarred can save time.
  • 2 large Eggs Flax eggs can substitute for a vegan option.
  • 1/2 cup Whole Milk Almond milk can be used for dairy-free choice.
  • 1/3 cup Ketchup Plus 1/2 cup for glaze.
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire Sauce Ensure gluten-free if required.
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon Black Pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon Dried Thyme Italian seasoning can substitute.
  • 1/4 cup Chopped Fresh Parsley
For the Glaze
  • 1/2 cup Ketchup
  • 2 tablespoons Brown Sugar Coconut sugar can be a lower glycemic option.
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon Mustard Yellow mustard can substitute.

Method
 

Cooking Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Gather your ingredients and equipment.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine ground beef, seasoned breadcrumbs, onion, garlic, eggs, milk, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, salt, pepper, thyme, and parsley. Mix gently until just combined.
  3. Transfer the mixture onto the baking sheet or into a loaf pan and shape it into a loaf.
  4. In a small bowl, whisk together the glaze ingredients: ketchup, brown sugar, and Dijon mustard.
  5. Spread the glaze evenly over the top of the shaped meatloaf.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 55 to 65 minutes until cooked through.
  7. Remove from oven and let rest for about 10 minutes before slicing and serving.
