Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare a 9x13-inch baking pan by greasing it or lining it with parchment paper.
- In a large mixing bowl, mash 2-3 ripe bananas until smooth and creamy.
- Add granulated sugar, melted unsalted butter, room-temperature eggs, sour cream, and vanilla extract to the mashed bananas and mix until fully combined.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together all-purpose flour, baking soda, and salt.
- Gradually incorporate the dry ingredients into the wet mixture, folding gently until just combined.
- If desired, fold in chopped walnuts or mini chocolate chips into the batter.
- Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and smooth the top. Bake for 25-30 minutes.
- Let the brownies cool in the pan for approximately 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely. Frost if desired.
