  3. Reduce heat to medium and gradually sprinkle in the flour while stirring constantly for about 1–2 minutes.
  4. Slowly pour in the whole milk while whisking until the mixture is smooth and combined. Increase heat slightly until it bubbles gently.
  5. Bring the mixture to a gentle simmer and cook for 5–10 minutes, stirring occasionally until it thickens.
  6. Taste your hamburger gravy and season with salt and pepper. Remove from heat and garnish with chopped fresh parsley if desired. Serve immediately.
