- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a loaf pan with butter or non-stick spray.
- In a mixing bowl, combine the sugar, brown sugar, and softened butter. Cream together with an electric mixer until light and fluffy.
- Mash the ripe bananas in a separate bowl until smooth, then add them along with the eggs to the creamed mixture. Mix until well combined.
- Sift together the flour, baking soda, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt in a separate bowl. Gradually fold the dry mixture into the wet batter.
- Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan, smoothing the top.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 50 to 60 minutes, until golden brown and a toothpick comes out clean.
- Cool in the pan for about 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely before slicing.
