- Thaw the frozen sweet pitted cherries in the refrigerator overnight or microwave for about 30 seconds until soft. Mash in a bowl, leaving some chunks for texture.
- Combine the mashed cherries with their juice, old-fashioned oats, plant-based milk, almond butter, ground flaxseed, maple syrup, fresh lemon juice, and almond extract in a mixing bowl. Stir vigorously for 1-2 minutes.
