Preparation
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Unroll the crescent roll dough on a clean surface, separating it into triangles.
- Thinly slice your chosen apple into pieces no thicker than 1/4 inch.
- In a small bowl, mix brown sugar, ground cinnamon, and optional nutmeg.
- Brush each triangle with melted butter, sprinkle with cinnamon-sugar, and add apple slices.
- Roll the dough towards the pointed end, forming a crescent shape.
- Place on the baking sheet seam-side down, brush tops with melted butter, and sprinkle with remaining cinnamon-sugar.
- Bake for 12-15 minutes until golden brown and puffed.
- Allow to cool for about 5 minutes and dust with powdered sugar before serving.
