Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Unroll the crescent roll dough on a clean surface, separating it into triangles.
  3. Thinly slice your chosen apple into pieces no thicker than 1/4 inch.
  4. In a small bowl, mix brown sugar, ground cinnamon, and optional nutmeg.
  5. Brush each triangle with melted butter, sprinkle with cinnamon-sugar, and add apple slices.
  6. Roll the dough towards the pointed end, forming a crescent shape.
  7. Place on the baking sheet seam-side down, brush tops with melted butter, and sprinkle with remaining cinnamon-sugar.
  8. Bake for 12-15 minutes until golden brown and puffed.
  9. Allow to cool for about 5 minutes and dust with powdered sugar before serving.
