  • 1 pint Grape Tomatoes Halved; cherry tomatoes can be used instead.
  • 2.25 oz Sliced Black Olives Drained; can swap for green olives.
  • 8 oz Salami Cubed; turkey or chicken can be used as a lighter alternative.
  • 8 oz Pearl Mozzarella Cheese Offers creamy, mild taste; can use feta or cheddar for a twist.
  • 7 oz Pecorino Romano Cheese Cubed; Parmesan can be used as a milder substitute.
  • 1 - 1¼ cup Italian Salad Dressing Infuses salad with flavor; homemade dressing is an option.

Method
 

Steps
  1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add heart-shaped pasta and cook according to package instructions, about 8-10 minutes, until al dente.
  2. Drain pasta in a colander and rinse under cold water to stop the cooking process.
  3. Dice the red bell pepper and halve the grape tomatoes.
  4. Drain olives, cube the salami and Pecorino Romano cheese.
  5. In a large bowl, combine drained pasta, diced bell pepper, halved tomatoes, olives, cubed salami, and cheeses.
  6. Measure and pour dressing over the combined ingredients in the bowl.
  7. Gently stir to mix and cover with plastic wrap or lid. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours.
  8. Serve chilled, giving a gentle stir before serving to combine.
