  • 2 tablespoons Olive Oil Ideal for sautéing.
  • 4 cloves Garlic Minced for best results.
  • 1/4 teaspoon Red Pepper Flakes Adjust based on heat preference.
For the Protein
  • 1 pound Large Shrimp Peeled and deveined.
For Seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon Fine Sea Salt Use in pasta water as well.
  • 1/2 teaspoon Ground Black Pepper Adjust to taste.
For Zesty Flavor
  • 1 teaspoon Lemon Zest Zest before juicing.
  • 1 large Fresh Lemon Juice Or use juice from 2 small lemons.
For Garnish
  • 1/4 cup Fresh Parsley Chopped.
  • 1/4 cup Parmesan Cheese Optional garnish.

Method
 

Cooking Instructions
  1. Boil the Pasta: Bring a large pot of salted water to a rolling boil. Add spaghetti and cook until al dente, about 8-10 minutes. Reserve a cup of pasta water before draining.
  2. Sauté the Aromatics: Heat olive oil and unsalted butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Add minced garlic and red pepper flakes, sauté until fragrant, about 1-2 minutes.
  3. Cook the Shrimp: Add shrimp to the skillet, season with salt and pepper. Cook for 2-3 minutes until shrimp are pink and opaque.
  4. Add the Asparagus: Add chopped asparagus and remaining butter to the skillet. Cook for an additional 3-4 minutes until asparagus is tender yet crisp.
  5. Combine Ingredients: Reduce heat to low, stir in lemon zest and juice. Add drained spaghetti, tossing everything together. Gradually add reserved pasta water until desired sauce consistency is reached.
  6. Garnish and Serve: Remove from heat, sprinkle parsley and Parmesan cheese on top before serving.
