Preparation Steps
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, breadcrumbs, onion, garlic, egg, milk, Worcestershire sauce, salt, pepper, thyme, and oregano. Mix until just combined.
- Transfer the mixture to a greased loaf pan and shape it into a snug loaf.
- In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat and sauté the sliced mushrooms for about 5 minutes until golden and fragrant.
- Add the Marsala wine to the skillet and simmer for about 5 minutes until slightly thickened.
- Pour the mushroom and wine mixture over the shaped meatloaf in the loaf pan.
- Bake in the preheated oven for about 1 hour, or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (71°C).
- Let the meatloaf rest for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.
