Step-wise Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 200°C (400°F).
- Brown the beef in a pot for about 5-7 minutes and set aside.
- Sauté onions, carrots, and celery for 5-6 minutes.
- Sprinkle flour over the vegetables and stir for about 2 minutes.
- Slowly add Guinness stout and beef stock, bring to a simmer.
- Stir in Worcestershire sauce and mushrooms; return beef to pot and simmer for 1 hour.
- Remove from heat and let the filling cool for about 10 minutes.
- Transfer the filling to a pie dish, roll out puff pastry and cover the filling, crimp edges and vent.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes until golden brown.
