Ingredients
  

For the Meat Filling
  • 1 lb Ground turkey or chicken or plant-based protein
  • 1 medium Onion chopped
  • 2 medium Carrots diced
  • 1 cup Peas fresh or frozen
  • 1 tsp Thyme fresh or dried
  • 1 tsp Rosemary fresh or dried
For the Mashed Potatoes
  • 2 lb Mashed potatoes russet or Yukon gold
  • 2 cloves Garlic minced
  • 4 tbsp Butter
  • 1/2 cup Milk or cream or almond/oat milk

Method
 

Cooking Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large skillet over medium heat, add your ground meat. Cook until browned, about 5-7 minutes.
  3. Stir in chopped onions, diced carrots, and peas. Sauté for an additional 3-4 minutes.
  4. Season with thyme, rosemary, salt, and pepper.
  5. Boil potatoes in salted water for 15-20 minutes until fork-tender. Drain and return to pot.
  6. Add butter, milk, and minced garlic to potatoes. Mash until smooth.
  7. Layer the meat filling in a baking dish, top with mashed potatoes, create texture on the surface.
  8. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until the potatoes are heated through and golden brown.
  9. Garnish with chopped herbs and serve hot.
