  • 1 cup All-purpose flour Substitute with gluten-free flour if needed
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Black pepper
  • 1 large Egg
  • 1/2 cup Milk
  • 2 cups Canola or peanut oil For frying
  • 1/2 cup Sweet chili sauce Essential for flavor
For the Garnish
  • 1 medium Carrot Julienned
  • 1/4 cup Fresh cilantro Chopped
  • 2 tablespoons Sesame seeds

Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your deep skillet over medium-high heat until the oil reaches 350°F. Cut the chicken breast into bite-sized pieces.
  2. In a shallow dish, mix flour with garlic powder, salt, and pepper. In another bowl, whisk the egg and milk together.
  3. Coat the chicken pieces first in the flour mixture, then dip into the egg mixture, and return to the flour for a second coating.
  4. Fry the chicken pieces in hot oil for about 3-4 minutes on each side until golden brown. Drain on paper towels.
  5. Toss the fried chicken bites with sweet chili sauce and garnish with sesame seeds, carrot, and cilantro before serving.
