Step‑by‑Step Instructions
  1. Begin by peeling and slicing the onions into thick rings, about 1 inch wide. Separate the layers to create rings.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine cream cheese, cheddar cheese, finely chopped jalapeños, cooked bacon bits, garlic powder, and salt and pepper. Blend thoroughly.
  3. Stuff the jalapeño mixture into the onion rings and seal with another layer of onion.
  4. Prepare a breading station with flour, beaten eggs, and seasoned breadcrumbs.
  5. Coat each onion ring in flour, dip in eggs, and then coat with breadcrumbs.
