  • 1 teaspoon Salt to taste

Method
 

Step-By-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and place rack in the middle position.
  2. Peel and slice the sweet potatoes into rounds, about ⅛ to ¼ inch thick.
  3. In a saucepan, combine cream, milk, melted butter, brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, salt, and vanilla. Heat gently for about 5 minutes until smooth.
  4. Layer sweet potato slices in a greased baking dish, pouring creamy sauce in between layers.
  5. Cover with aluminum foil and bake for 30–35 minutes until sweet potatoes are soft.
  6. Remove foil and bake for an additional 20–25 minutes until the top is bubbly and golden.
  7. Sprinkle mini marshmallows on top and broil for 2–3 minutes until toasted.
  8. Let dish rest for about 10 minutes before serving.
