Step-by-Step Instructions
- Slice the chicken breasts into bite-sized pieces, then season them generously with garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Coat each piece lightly in flour.
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat until shimmering. Add the seasoned chicken pieces and sear for 5-7 minutes until golden brown. Transfer chicken to a plate.
- In the same skillet, add butter and sauté chopped cremini mushrooms and diced onions for 5-7 minutes until mushrooms are tender and onions are translucent.
- Stir in Dijon mustard and Worcestershire sauce to the vegetables. Add minced garlic and cook for an additional minute.
- Pour in chicken broth, scraping the bottom of the skillet. Return the chicken to the skillet and simmer for 2-3 minutes.
- Lower the heat and fold in sour cream, stirring until heated through, about 2-3 minutes. Serve over your favorite sides.

Notes
Allow sour cream to come to room temperature before adding it to prevent curdling. Use a meat thermometer to ensure chicken reaches 165°F. Keep heat low after adding sour cream to avoid a grainy sauce.
