Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Slice the chicken breasts into bite-sized pieces, then season them generously with garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Coat each piece lightly in flour.
  2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat until shimmering. Add the seasoned chicken pieces and sear for 5-7 minutes until golden brown. Transfer chicken to a plate.
  3. In the same skillet, add butter and sauté chopped cremini mushrooms and diced onions for 5-7 minutes until mushrooms are tender and onions are translucent.
  4. Stir in Dijon mustard and Worcestershire sauce to the vegetables. Add minced garlic and cook for an additional minute.
  5. Pour in chicken broth, scraping the bottom of the skillet. Return the chicken to the skillet and simmer for 2-3 minutes.
  6. Lower the heat and fold in sour cream, stirring until heated through, about 2-3 minutes. Serve over your favorite sides.
