  • 2 cloves Garlic Fresh garlic preferred.

  • 1/2 tsp Crushed Red Pepper Flakes Optional for heat.
  • 1/2 tsp Fennel Seeds Omit if not available.
For the Green Goddess Dip
  • 1 cup Plain Greek Yogurt Can substitute with sour cream.
  • 1/2 cup Fresh Parsley Leaves Dill or chives can be mixed in.
  • 1 medium Avocado Remove for a lighter dip.
  • 1/4 cup Fresh Basil Leaves Mint can be a unique twist.
  • 2 tbsp Mayonnaise Use Greek yogurt for a lighter option.
  • 2 tbsp Green Onions Chives are a lovely alternative.
  • 1 tsp Kosher Salt Adjust to taste.
  • 1/2 tsp Black Pepper Adjust to taste.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine ground lamb, egg, water, herbs, breadcrumbs, and spices. Mix gently until combined.
  3. Shape the mixture into 1¼ inch meatballs and place on the prepared baking sheet.
  4. Bake the meatballs for 12-15 minutes until browned and cooked through.
  5. While the meatballs bake, prepare the Green Goddess Dip by blending yogurt, mayonnaise, herbs, avocado, and green onions until smooth.
  6. Season the dip with salt and pepper; refrigerate until ready to serve.
  7. Serve the warm meatballs with the chilled Green Goddess Dip, optionally garnishing with crumbled feta and fresh herbs.
