Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and prepare a baking sheet or a loaf pan with nonstick spray.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, eggs, and milk. Add onion, garlic, Worcestershire sauce, tomato paste, salt, pepper, oregano, and basil. Mix until just combined.
  3. Shape half of the meat mixture into a loaf and create a trench down the center, filling it with mozzarella. Cover with remaining meat mixture.
  4. In a small bowl, whisk together ketchup, brown sugar, and balsamic vinegar. Brush the glaze over the top of the meatloaf.
  5. Bake for 50 to 60 minutes, until the internal temperature reads 160°F (70°C). If browning too quickly, tent with foil.
  6. Let the meatloaf rest for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.
