Cooking Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a large skillet over medium heat, add the lean ground beef and finely diced onion. Sauté for about 5–7 minutes until beef is browned and onion is translucent. If using minced garlic, add it during the last minute of cooking.
  3. Season the mixture generously with salt and pepper. Consider stirring in a dash of ketchup or mustard for added flavor.
  4. Grease a 9-inch pie dish. Spread the seasoned beef and onion mixture evenly across the bottom. Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese on top.
  5. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, and Bisquick mix until smooth. Pour the custard over the beef and cheese layer.
  6. Bake for about 25-30 minutes until the top is golden brown and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  7. Let the Cheeseburger Pie rest for a few minutes before slicing and serving with your favorite toppings.

For mini cheeseburger pies, use a muffin tin instead of a pie dish. They make great appetizers or snacks for parties.
